Traceable CAT6 Pre-Term Assemblies

Trunk Cables offer field technicians and networking professionals a fully assembled, multi-cable solution that’s designed to improve efficiency and reduce labor cost and waste in large infrastructures with high-density cross-connection and patching systems. These CAT6 or CAT6A cable assemblies come either pre-terminated with keystone jacks on one end and RJ45 plug with snagless boots for simple plug and play installation, or with plug-to-plug snagless boots on both side. Keystone jacks are compatible with most standard unloaded patch panels and work-area outlet systems to make field installations easy and efficient by eliminating cutting, stripping, and wire terminating operations. Available in unshielded and shielded twisted pair cable assemblies, with either jack-to-jack or jack-to-plug cut configurations to accommodate almost any custom application or job requirement.

Description

Mertek’s pre-terminated trunking cable assemblies provide an easily installed and cost effective alternative to individual field-terminated channels. Copper trunk cable assemblies are an ideal solution for data center infrastructures and backbone applications where cable distances are reasonably. Trunk cables are custom configured in pre-engineered lengths using component-rated connectors to meet the needs of each application. Plugs feature clear SlimLine design with snagless strain relief boot. Customized breakout length from braided sleeve improves installation flexibility and appearance. Our high-density, modular patch panels help provide reliable connections (24 port = 1 rack unit)

Benefits:
Ideal for Data Center raised floor and ladder rack environments resulting in up to 75% faster deployment.
Simple installation pre-terminated outlets snap easily into a modular panels.
Each assembly is packaged to protect factory terminations.

Plug-to-Plug – Used to make a direct connection between active equipment (e.g. server to switch), eliminating cross-connect capabilities. It also can be used in an open-space work area as a bundled patch cord group.

Jack-to-Plug – Eliminates one cross-connect point by having the cable plug directly into the active equipment (i.e. switches). The jack termination snaps into an empty panel, which would then be patched to other equipment or work area ports as necessary.
