The T-1 Interface card manufactured by Mertek Industries has been designed for the Nortel Networks Meridian M1 61-81C. By combining both T-1 connectors onto a single board it makes it much easier to locate in the back of the network module, eliminating confusion. Many field technicians currently install a DB15 to RJ45 connector and prefer to run a Cat5 or Cat6 cable from the carrier to the DDP card. The main reason for this is that it makes for a much cleaner install.
